Crafford-LaserStar Technologies has been servicing the worldwide jewelry industry since 1957 and has become an international leader in designing machines for the forming and bending of wire. Our products make connections that reduce labor costs, increase productivity and produce high-quality results every time. Manufactured for over 30 years, the world famous Link-O-Matic® machine has become the jewelry industry standard for the rapid assembly of chains, charms, pendants, earrings and necklaces, as well as various types of novelty and promotional items.

State-of-the-Art Technology
Crafford-LaserStar Technologies' three Link-O-Matic® models are designed for a wide range of linking applications. While producing finished links from spooled wire, the Link-O-Matic® machines feed, cut, form and close a single "U" each cycle. Our state-of-the-art design offers a single adjust wire feed assembly, whisper series motor operation and "quick change" modular tool option. All machines are completely electric and provide many years of dependable operation.

Links of all Shapes and Sizes
The Link-O-Matic® machine's unique design enables users to change insert tool sets based on production requirements. Standard tooling includes round and oval links formed from round wire. Custom shaped link tooling can also be designed to operate with flat, half round, or specialty shaped wire. All tool sets offer a variety of closures including Bias-cut (30 degree), Butt-Cut and V-Cut. End-Cut and preform link tooling sets are available upon request.

Unbeatable Efficiency
Link-O-Matic® machines can increase your production by up to 500% over hand linking, with consistent, high-quality results. Change your smallest link to your largest link in just minutes. There is no scrap; each pound of wire yields one pound of links.

LINK-O-MATIC® Machine Cycle Sequence

  1. Wire is formed into the shape of a "U" and presented to the operator.
  2. Operator presents component parts for assembly.
  3. Operator cycles machine with foot pedal. Forming head closes the "U" and assembles
    component parts.
  4. Machine ejects assembled parts and presents the next "U" to the operator.
